Stake operates under a license from the Government of Curaçao (License No. 8048/JAZ). This license is one of the most common in online gambling and allows operation in most countries worldwide. Provably Fair System Explained

Provably Fair is the most important security feature of Stake Originals. For every game, a cryptographic hash is generated that determines the result BEFORE the game. After the game, you can check the seed and hash to verify the result was not manipulated. The system uses SHA-256 encryption and is mathematically provably fair. No other security system in the casino industry offers this level of transparency.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Stake offers two-factor authentication via Google Authenticator or Authy. We strongly recommend enabling 2FA. It protects your account even if your password is compromised. Setup takes less than 2 minutes and is available through security settings in your profile.

KYC Process (Know Your Customer)

Stake has a three-tier KYC system. Level 0 (Basic) allows instant play with email verification. Level 1 requires a photo ID and extends limits. Level 2 requires proof of address and unlocks full features. Verification is fast — in most cases under 5 minutes through automated checking.

Privacy and Encryption

Stake uses SSL/TLS encryption for all data transfers. Personal data is encrypted and not shared with third parties. Since Stake primarily works with cryptocurrencies, no sensitive bank data is stored. Blockchain technology provides additional security and transparency for all transactions.

Which legal framework covers the regional Stake platforms?

Stake.com runs on the Curaçao license described above, but the regional social casinos sit under their own rules. Stake.eu is operated by Sweepstakes Services Limited in St. Johns, Antigua and follows German law and the GDPR for its German users, including a 14-day withdrawal right for unplayed Gold Coins. It holds no German GGL permit, and no court ruling on Stake.eu exists so far, so calling it licensed gambling in Germany would be wrong. Verification applies either way — ID and proof of address are required before Stake Cash can be redeemed.
